This year Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Montana Tech is celebrating 100 years!

To commemorate this momentous event, members of the Montana Technological University Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (M&ME) Department faculty and its esteemed Industrial Advisory Board are hosting a major celebration to commemorate the Department's Centennial Anniversary.

The celebration, to be held on the Montana Tech campus the week of September 25th-October 1st includes a technical symposium September 29th and 30th featuring accomplishments of M&ME alumni and students, workshops, and social events.

The celebration will include technical sessions, student poster sessions, bladesmithing, and fire assay workshops, and several social events. Technical sessions include topics such as recycling, energy, regulatory, sustainability, new projects, and processes. For a complete schedule please click through the button below.

Homecoming week will be running in tandem with our celebration and we encourage you to stay through Saturday to cheer on the Orediggers on October 1st. If this is an option you are interested be sure to select yes when you process your registration.
